Work with one material at a time
Keep species, thickness, cross-section and grade consistent. This is a 1D length planner, not a sheet-nesting or CNC tool.
Cutcraft is a free 1D cutting planner for boards, bars and pipes. Enter stock and part lengths, include saw kerf and trim, compare practical plans, and export a cut list in your browser.
Build your cutting plan ↗Synthetic sample loaded. Replace these dimensions with your own.
Conservative model: one kerf per part, plus your total trim allowance per used stock piece. Include all end-trimming loss in that allowance. One material/profile per project.
Small workshop. Big picture.Up to 500 parts and 500 stock pieces. Compare six deterministic heuristics.
Project calculations and imports run in this browser. No project uploads, analytics, accounts or external scripts. Normal hosting requests still reach the site host.
Cutcraft compares six practical arrangements. It doesn't prove the mathematically optimal solution, and it doesn't control any machine.
Keep species, thickness, cross-section and grade consistent. This is a 1D length planner, not a sheet-nesting or CNC tool.
Kerf is reserved for every part, even a final part that might not need a cut. Trim is a total loss per stock piece. A zero value is allowed, but only use it if appropriate for your process.
Check dimensions, material condition, allowances and quantity. Diagram labels may be rounded. Use the numbered list for exact entered dimensions. Follow your equipment's instructions and safe working procedures.
JSON and project CSV can be imported again. Cut-list CSV includes unfulfilled parts and repeats stock-level fields per part row. It is a report, not a project backup. Browser storage can be cleared or unavailable; export a backup for anything important.
If Cutcraft saved you some material or time, you can help keep these little tools going. No payment unlocks, no wallet connection.
